Beehive Geyser

beehive.jpg

Beehive Geyser occur at the foot of Geyser Hill, in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park.

Beehive erupts from a small 'beehive-shaped' sinter cone.

The vent of this geyser must be narrow and vertical. The resulting eruption looks something like pointing a fire hose up at the sky!

Some people insist that you haven't really experienced a geyser eruption until you've breathed it in! Look at the people drenched in the spray downwind.
